About Energy Trading Platform Amsterdam
ETPA is a young start-up with an innovative trading platform that facilitates multiple new ways of power trading for companies in the Netherlands looking to optimize their daily electricity capacity and maximize their profits on different energy products. These new ways of power trading for the electricity market support (and accelerate) the integration of sustainable energy resources in the Dutch energy mix. Our ambition for the upcoming years is to scale this to the rest of Europe so that our innovative products can facilitate this transition in other countries.
We are looking for full-time software developer in Valletta, Malta.

Backend Developer at ETPA
Do you want to be part of this (energy transition) challenge and this highly motivated team? As a software developer, you get opportunities to expand your horizon, learn more about the energy sector and (of course) become a skilled developer. We strive to build the best product in the energy market using the latest technologies.

Must-haves for the candidate:

• Knowledge of Java (17+).
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience in web-based software development.
• Working Knowledge of different databases such as MongoDB and Redis.
• Strong foundation in OOP.
• Ambitious individual who is willing to learn.
• Medior 2+ years and Seniors 5+ years of software development experience.
• Exposure to cloud solutions.
• Experience in mentoring Junior / Medior Developers.
• Self-starter and able to start projects from scratch.

Nice to have for the candidate:

• Knowledge of virtualized environments such as Docker.
• Knowledge of Orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Micro-serviced environments and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of CQRS and DDD.
• Experience in using Cloud Technologies, mainly AWS.
• Experience with Axon Framework and Server.
• Experience with high-frequency trading systems.
