Energy Trading Platform Amsterdam

ETPA is a young start-up with an innovative trading platform that facilitates multiple new ways of power trading for companies in the Netherlands looking to optimize their daily electricity capacity and maximize their profits on different energy products. These new ways of power trading for the electricity market is supporting (and accelerating) the integration of sustainable energy resources in the Dutch energy mix. Our ambition for the upcoming years is to scale this to the rest of Europe so that our innovative products can also facilitate this transition in other countries.

Current DevOps team

Within ETPA we have two dynamic and strong DevOps teams, total existing of 20 FTE of developers with a variety of backgrounds and ages. Both teams are involved with all technical aspects of the trading platform; from development to daily IT operation. In the upcoming years, the trading platform will need to accommodate an increasing number of clients, products and markets. This presents multiple challenges if we are to continue to exceed the current sector’s expectations. Within ETPA every team member has equal input and opportunity to co-create the future paths to be followed.

The teams work with Continuous integration, Sprints and automated testing, in order to maintain the current pace of development and quality of delivered work at a high level.

Software developer

Do you want to be part of this (energy transition) challenge and this highly motivated team? As a Software developer, you get opportunities to expand your horizon, learn more about the energy sector and (of course) become a skilled developer. We are striving to build the best product in the market and using the latest technologies to do so.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge of Java (8+)
• Experience in Web-based Software Development
• Working Knowledge of different Databases such as MongoDB & Redis
• Strong foundation in OOP
• Ambitious individual who is willing to learn

Bonus points for:

• Knowledge of virtualized environments such as Docker
• Knowledge of Orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CQRS & DDD
• Experience in using Cloud Technologies mainly AWS.
• Experience in Axon Framework & Server
• Experience with high-frequency trading systems
